Samsung has recently launched new affordable price smartphone Samsung galaxy pocket. This new smartphone comes with Android OS, 832 MHz, 2MP camera and 2.8 inches Display. Other hand Samsung galaxy y which was launched in last year August 2011, it has 830 MHz ARMv6, Android Gingerbread OS and 3.0 inches display. Both phone are Android OS based and close competitor of each other. In this review we will discus about this two phones in terms of specs, features and price.

The new Samsung Galaxy Pocket smartphone is powered by 832 MHz processor and Samsung Galaxy Y is powered by 830 MHz processor. Samsung Galaxy Y has just short of power processor but that doesn’t matter. Now in terms of OS, Samsung galaxy pocket is running on Android 2.3 Gingered OS and Samsung Galaxy Y is also running on same Android 2.3.5 upgraded processor, which is better than Samsung Galaxy Pocket.
RAM and Memory:
Samsung Galaxy Pocket has 3 GB internal memory and microSD, up to 32 GB expendable memory. Samsung Galaxy Y has 180 MB, 290 MB user available RAM and microSD, up to 32GB expendable memory. In this Samsung Galaxy Pocket more storage space than Samsung Galaxy Y.

Samsung Galaxy Pocket is comes with a 2.8 inches TFT touchscreen display with 240 x 320 pixels of resolution and ~143 ppi pixel density. It has also Multitouch and TouchWiz UX UI features. Other side Samsung Galaxy Y has 3.0 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen display with 256K colors and 240 x 320 pixels of Resolution. It has also Multitouch, TouchWiz UI and Touch sensitive controls features. In this term Samsung Galaxy Y larger and better display than Samsung Galaxy Pocket.

Samsung Galaxy Pocket is loaded with 2 MP camera with 1600×1200 pixels of resolution. It has Geo-tagging features and it capable to QVGA@15fps video recording. Samsung Galaxy Y has same 2 MP camera with 1600×1200 pixels of resolution. Both have same camera power.
